Mac Mail

When trying to configure Mac Mail for SMTP (Outgoing Mail), you will need to enable SSL, and enter in the name of the server listed in your instructions (for example if your domain name is example.com the mail server name is mail.example.com).

The requirement to enable SSL is due to a bug in Mac Mail, which breaks support for plain authentication when using certain mail servers.
