How can I change the password for web hosting / FTP / SSH / cPanel?

There are two ways to change your cPanel password, which is also used as your master FTP password and SSH password.

  • IF YOU KNOW THE CURRENT PASSWORD: You can change the password that is used for all of your web hosting functions (FTP, SSH, cPanel) by first logging into your cPanel control panel with the existing password. To access cPanel, go to http://example.com/cpanel (replace example.com with your own domain name). Once logged into cPanel, click "Password & Security" to change the password.
  • IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE CURRENT PASSWORD: You can log into our Billing System and change the cPanel password there.  Here are step-by-step instructions.
