See this guide regarding Python from the cPanel forums:
http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/short-guide-running-python-scripts-cpanel-244361.html
Based on this guide, Python scripts should execute fine for end users, as long as the scripts are placed in /cgi-bin, or .htaccess is altered appropriately if the scripts need to be outside of that directory.
NOTE: One customer notified us that the python script would not run, even if it is in /cgi-bin, if he did not also edit .htaccess per the above documentation to add an Apache Handler for .py
