How do I create MySQL databases?

MySQL databases are created using your cPanel Control Panel.

Usually this is a 3 step process:

  1. Create the Database.
  2. Create a Database User.
  3. Assign Rights for the Database User to the Database.

All 3 of these steps are done from inside cPanel.

NOTE FOR PHPMYADMIN USERS: While you can use phpMyAdmin to manage your MySQL databases, you cannot create databases from within phpMyAdmin -- you must create the database first from within cPanel.
